๐ The 2nd Ulm ALS Family Day has now come to an end, and we are truly overwhelmed by the response!
Together with people living with ALS, their family members, and friends, we explored topics that are of great importance to many of you:
- Genetics and the potential hereditary nature of ALS
- Gene-specific therapeutic approaches
- Energy metabolism in ALS
- Ventilation therapy in ALS
One of the most valuable aspects of the event was the opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts, which was enthusiastically embraced by patients, family members, and loved ones alike. During the break, there was time for personal exchange, and the many open and meaningful conversations highlighted just how important this space for connection and mutual support is. The opportunity to submit questions online was also widely used.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, speakers, and supporters who made this day so special! ๐
